New Releases: Die Das Der - Without Venues We're Nothing. Charity Compilation

Did you see my review of the Birmingham Music Scene in 'zine #002?  One of the amazing discoveries I made when spending a weekend checking out the city's underground scene was a small label called Die Das Der.  Not only do they put out the best in punk music from in and around the city, but they regularly organise gigs and events to promote up and coming bands.  The ethos of this label is amazing, being inclusive of all and aims to promote musicians that often get overlooked by the mainstream press.

Tomorrow, 5th June, they will be releasing a compilation CD in aid of helping out the independent venues in Birmingham who are struggling to survive under the current social restrictions.  Please, please, please support this amazing company and the venues that they are fighting to protect by buying the digital download or the physical CD on Bandcamp Fee Free Friday.

“On Friday 5th June, to coincide with Bandcamp waiving fees, DIE DAS DER
(Birmingham based collective and record label) are releasing a compilation
album ‘Without Venues, We’re Nothing’ featuring acts such as Kendo Nagasaki,
Salt the Snail, Rat the Magnificent, Modern Literature, Haq123, Wax Futures,
Fauxchisels and The Nature Centre to name but a few!
All money raised from sales of this compilation will go towards helping
ensure the survival of several independent Birmingham venues that we have
worked closely with, and that we all love, and also to support some of
the brilliant self-employed individuals who depend on those venues and
the Birmingham music and art scene for their livelihoods and are currently
struggling due to the COVID-19 lockdown. " - DIE DAS DER
